WValue is created with intention of helping individuals purchasing Rolex watches (new or used), to estimate the approximate Price of the Watch under consideration.
The primary assumption is that the overall the retail price of a Rolex watch increases over time, which compensates for the initial depreciation and depreciation due to normal usage. It is this increasing Price Trend that makes it possible to estimate a future date when Todays MSRP will equate favorably with Depreciated Value in future.

The value of the watch after purchase is the MSRP of the watch on Date of Transaction minus the specified depreciation. A future or past estimated value is computed by extrapolating (or interpolating) the current and historic price data available for a Selected Watch Model. Based on the available pricing data, an approximate Trend is plotted for the Specified Order (Linear, Polynomial). For a given Trend, the user can query the following

1. Estimate the Date when the watch value reaches the specified amount. This is the date in the future when the person can sell his watch and recover current MSRP. This is useful in case of say, a New Watch purchase. The price input by the user is adjusted for depreciation (initial + additional related to wear and tear) to compute the actual price value which is then extrapolated on the Trend Curve

2. Estimate the value of a watch on a Specified Date. We extrapolate the value on a New Watch on the Trend Curve for the Specified Date and then deduct the Specified Depreciation (new + wear and tear) to obtain the final result
